Stories: THE BORA
After a strong cyclone moved through the Mediterranean and caused a lot of wind and blizzards in Spain, France and Italy, it reached Slovenia on 10th March 2010, where it caused some of the strongest Bora winds on record. Bora is a frequent gusty wind in the litoral regions of Slovenia, at its worst the wind speed peaking at 100 km/h, but this time wind speeds went well over 150 km/h. It tore out trees, opened rooftops, broke a lot of glass and cars, roads were closed for wind or impassable etc.
