Archives: NO MORE BELLA ITALIA
In the winter of 2007/2008 Naples, Italy, was suffocating in garbage. The continuous garbage crisis brought on by the mafia's control over garbage disposal prompted the EU to give Naples a deadline to clean up the city by the end of February 2008. Two weeks before the deadline, Naples was fairly clean, but garbage trucks rolled out to the neighbouring cities, allegedly exporting all that trash outside the city just to meet the deadline. The neighbouring Caserta, the Cammora stronghold, was chest deep in garbage with no end in sight.
